Finding good resources for US History lesson plans is difficult. Everything is either too expensive, poorly made or doesn’t line up with what I’m teaching!
I got so frustrated one night I decided to do something about it. I created two websites:

My goal is to provide quality lesson plan components (PowerPoints, worksheets, activities, quizzes, tests, assessments, etc.) for real teachers to use in real classrooms.
I want to create a “go to” place where US History Teachers can find exactly what they need to complete their lesson plan for any day of the year.

UsHistoryTeachers.com is a website dedicated to providing real, usable US History Lesson plan components for US History Teachers.
Not the junk that comes with textbooks or the super expensive (and often irrelevant) material many “teacher” sites sell online.
I’m talking about real tools, created by real teachers, who actually teach, every day.
The material found at UsHistoryTeachers.com is affordable and high quality. But its also REAL. It looks like something you would create yourself, but don’t have the time to produce. That way during an evaluation or principal walk through, you get the credit for your awesome lesson plan…not some nameless textbook company!
I’m not here to tell you how to teach! You are a great teacher! You don’t need word for word lesson plans. You need lesson plan components. You need a PowerPoint but don’t have three hours to make one! You need a worksheet, but need to use your planning period for grading papers! You need a high quality quiz, but don’t want to spend your lunch time making one! I’ve got you covered!
I was also frustrated that there are simply no sites out there dedicated completely to US History Teachers. Every lesson plan I could find online was just a blatant too expensive useless worksheet on some mega “lesson plan” site. No support. No good resources. No community. I want to change that.
Bear with me! This site is a work in progress. I will be adding new lesson plan components weekly. Many of my worksheets, quizzes and movie lesson plans will be available for free! So you can try them out at no cost before purchasing priced components.
“Wait, why do you charge for lesson plan components?”
Because, as you know, it takes a long time to create these tools! My PowerPoints often take four to five hours to create. Quizzes, tests and worksheets an hour each at least! My goal is to save you time, and profit a little from my own efforts. Honestly, its as simple as that.
